"Made in Liaocheng" Goes Global Again! Liaocheng Huarui Electric's Aluminum-Wound Transformers Shipped to Uganda
Recently, the factory of Liaocheng Huarui Electric Co., Ltd. located in Liaocheng Fenghuang Industrial Park presented a busy scene. A 40-foot container truck loaded with a batch of custom-made aluminum-wound transformers for a Ugandan customer slowly drove out of the factory, officially embarking on its overseas journey. This batch of equipment will be transported by sea to the African continent, contributing "Liaocheng power" to the local power infrastructure construction in Uganda.
It is reported that this export covers 100KVA and 150KVA aluminum-wound transformers, mainly used for the distribution network construction in Uganda. These transformers are not only lightweight, featuring good heat dissipation performance and strong short-circuit resistance, but have also undergone specialized technical optimization for the special power environment in the African region, fully complying with international export standards. The products adopt vacuum drying and vacuum oil filling processes, achieving a 100% first-pass test qualification rate.
Customized Solutions Win Recognition in the African Market
Uganda is located on the East African plateau, characterized by a humid and rainy climate with high temperatures, which imposes high requirements on the protection rating and weather resistance of power equipment. At the same time, the local power grid stability differs from that of China, requiring special standards for voltage adaptability and impact resistance of transformers.
In response to this situation, the technical team of Liaocheng Huarui Electric responded quickly after receiving the order, starting from the design source to comprehensively optimize the products. In terms of structural design, a multi-layer angle ring and small oil gap with large oil channel structure were adopted, effectively improving the product's insulation performance and lightning impulse withstand capability. In terms of protection performance, targeting the humid and hot climate characteristics of Africa, the transformers have a high protection rating, effectively preventing the impact of humidity and high temperature on equipment operation.

Aluminum-Wound Transformers: Mature Products Compliant with International Standards
It is worth noting that the 100KVA and 150KVA transformers exported this time adopt all-aluminum coil windings. In this regard, technical experts from Liaocheng Huarui Electric Co., Ltd. point out that aluminum coil transformers are products compliant with national and international standards and are recognized by developed countries.
According to reports, as early as the 20th century, European countries widely adopted aluminum coil solutions in transformer production, forming mature technical standards. To this day, aluminum-core transformers are still widely used in Europe and the Americas. The expansion coefficient of aluminum is closer to that of epoxy resin than copper, which is actually more advantageous for transformer safety. China has also issued corresponding national technical standards for aluminum coil transformers. For dry-type transformers using aluminum coils, the model is marked as SCLB.
"From the perspective of product and technology essence, both aluminum and copper coils are mature products recognized by national standards and internationally accepted, " said a relevant person in charge of Huarui Electric. "Users can rest assured to use the products as long as the material requirements are strictly agreed upon in the contract."
