U.S. Power Projections

The customer needed to replace pad-mounted transformers across multiple U.S. wind farms and data centers, covering various models and applications. Key custom requirements included:
Multiple voltage ratios: 34.5/0.48kV, 34.5/0.69kV, 34.5/0.36kV, 12.47/0.4kV, etc.
Multiple winding materials: all copper, all aluminum, or hybrid (aluminum HV / copper LV)
Multiple insulating oils: mineral oil, FR3 vegetable oil, synthetic ester
Custom components: winding temperature indicators, sudden pressure relays, smart remote-signaling oil level/temperature gauges, Eaton HV bushings, and customized LV bushing holes
Custom layouts: meters in LV compartment or separate side box; bushing and base positions identical to original transformers for seamless installation
We provided a one-stop customized solution:
Reviewed original drawings and site data to confirm all details
Categorized transformers into wind power, auxiliary, and data center types
Used flexible production lines for mixed winding materials and oils
Procured specified components (e.g., Eaton bushings, smart gauges)
Ensured identical bushing positions and base dimensions for plug-and-play replacement
Performed IEEE/NEMA factory tests with remote video acceptance
Seamless Replacement
• 3 wind farms and 2 data center projects completed with zero site modification.
Downtime Reduced by Over 60%
• Faster installation minimized power loss and supply risks.
Mixed Configurations Delivered
• Different winding materials, oils, and meter setups in one batch.
Customer feedback:
• “ZGSL’s ability to match our original transformer interfaces saved us months of rework. The remote acceptance was smooth, and quality exceeded expectations.” — Technical Manager, U.S. Sagebrush project
